Refund Policy

Staying an Old Soul in the New World is currently sold as a presale, which means the finished digital book is delivered at a later date, disclosed at checkout.
The short version: if you change your mind before the book is delivered, you get your money back. After it's delivered, you have 7 days.
Before the book is delivered
You may request a full refund at any time before the finished book is delivered, for any reason. You do not need to explain yourself.
After the book is delivered
Once the finished book has been delivered, you have 7 calendar days to request a refund if the product was not what you reasonably expected.
After the 7-day period
After that 7-day window, digital purchases are final, except for:
- Duplicate purchases
- Technical delivery problems
- Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
- Any situation where a refund is required by law
If the delivery date changes
If the announced delivery date changes materially, you will be notified by email and given the choice to keep waiting or take a full refund. That choice is yours, and the refund is available regardless of how much time has passed.
The signed manuscript
The $49 option includes a printed manuscript mailed to you. Before it ships, it can be refunded in full like any other presale order.
Once it has shipped, the digital portion follows the rules above, and the printed copy can be refunded if it arrives damaged, is lost in transit, or never arrives. Email me and it will be sorted out.
How refunds are returned
Refunds are returned to the original payment method wherever possible. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer, and typically takes a few business days after the refund is issued.
How to request one
Email contact@whereismas.com from the address you used at checkout, or include that address in the message. No form, no hoops, and no questions I would be annoyed to answer.
